What to Do If You're Worried About Someone Else's Gaming
If someone in your family or a close friend seems to be struggling with their gambling habits, it can feel awkward not knowing how to approach the conversation. A few things that tend to help:
Choose a calm moment, not a crisis. Bringing it up right after a loss or a heated argument rarely leads anywhere productive. Find a quiet time when the other person is relaxed and you have space to talk properly.
Talk about what you've noticed, not what you're judging. "I noticed you've been up late and seem stressed after playing" lands very differently from "You're wasting money." One is an observation, the other is an accusation.
Offer practical support, not ultimatums. Helping someone look at the PHMines responsible gaming tools, or sitting with them while they set a deposit limit, is more effective than threatening consequences.
Take care of yourself too. Supporting someone with a gambling problem can be exhausting. Make sure you're also speaking to someone you trust. You don't have to handle it all alone.
PHMines support can be contacted at support@phmines.best. A family member or friend can also ask us to apply a restriction if the account holder provides consent, or in exceptional circumstances, our team can discuss what options may be available.
